The Atlantic Area Operational Programme participates in the 1st Congress on Smart Cooperation

The Atlantic Area Operational Programme participates in the 1st Congress on Smart Cooperation “Territorial Cooperation fostering European integration: Cities and Regions linking across borders”.
This is a crucial time for Europe and for the definition of the future Territorial Cooperation. That is why this event intends to highlight the benefits of cooperation and the opportunities it represents for Europe to be able to overcome obstacles and meet current challenges.
The event will launch a debate involving all stakeholders and actors to enhance and highlight the role of cooperation to achieve the Europe 2020 objectives .
The Congress is co-financed by the Atlantic Area Operational Programme through the project "CLIMATLANTIC", whose objective is to develop strategies at local and regional level to reduce the carbon footprint in the Atlantic Area. The project focuses on four key themes: mobility, energy, territorial management and environmental education.
The Managing Authority of the Atlantic Area Programme will participate in workshop Nº. 5. under the theme "Contribution of cooperation for a sustainable growth: an Atlantic Strategy to reduce emissions and carbon footprint".
