1.1 - Develop knowledge transfers between companies and research centres
The project lead by Train 2000 aims to promote growth through innovation in women owned start-ups and existing businesses.
The project will carry out action research to identify models of good practice in encouraging women owned enterprises to be innovative and develop an initiative to be piloted by partners. The pilot will focus on helping women business owners (potential and existing):
· identify innovation opportunities
· access grants and services that are available and
· overcome their reluctance to seek external finance.
The project will establish links between women entrepreneurs and support agencies and HEIs and other knowledge based bodies. The outputs of the project will be take up of innovative ideas/practices, improved sustainability and growth of businesses.
The results of the action research will be used to influence regional, national and EU policy, funding agencies and practitioners.
